Well Keeley drove us to Tatton Park where we went to a long walk in the wind, that was of course head on, brrrr. I imagine that this road we walked along was the driveway to Tatton Hall Manor, it makes me realise now why it took so long for horse and carriages to make their way to the front door when visiting. We all managed to get some shots of the Tatton Hall Manor with is Doric columns (I think that is what they are called.) Not sure yet if mine came out properly though we shall all soon see.
Sadly we didn't get to the house due to me not wanting to walk further and all of us getting cold, we walked past on lake and a large pond, further forward there was another lake, the grounds are massive. We didn't see any Deer either, Keeley mentioned that they were fed in winter so were towards the back of the park. The area that we walk reminded me of the Desert Road in New Zealand, all windswept and lots of tussocks as you will see in the photos.
The entrance to Tatton Park.
This is the biggest of the lakes, with it been rather muddy we didn't go to the edge.

Me and Keeley a bit closer to the lake.
In the far distance you can see Tatton Hall Manor, I hope to be able to add a better shot at another date. Apparently this is the 2nd Tatton Hall, the original was built in Tudor times.
Below I have now imported a close up photo of the Manor with thanks to Keeley who just sent it to me :-)
The large pond with bullrushes, apparently swans nest here during their breeding season.
Standing on the cattle grid :-)
Old fashioned Sweetshop in Knutsford
Me and Sam having afternoon tea.
The next photos show Knutsford in the twilight.
Then it was home for tea at Keeley & Sam's :-) Where we had Korma Chicken with rice and a nice cold glass of cider. Spent the evening showing them photos of my family and New Zealand.
