Taste testing Uk choclate and sweets

Well here goes, I have decided to start taste tasting the Lollies that we can't get in New Zealand yet.  Many are things I enjoyed as a child some are new even to me, like the Orange flavour Kit Kat......

First up is the Double Decker.  It is a chocolate bar that is crispy on the bottom and soft nougat on top.............they were scrummy over 20 yrs ago, now let me see if they have improved.

A delightful bright orange and purple wrapper that catches the eye..........lol

The taste........hummmm.

The nougat is soft and creamy with a strong after taste that I cant quite describe.  The cereal  part at the bottom is a bit like solid Rcies (Rice Krispies to people in UK) wrappd in  chocolate.  The bar is of course covered in Cadburies milk chocolate that is smooth and sweet to the taste.  Over all it is very sweet and unless you have a sweet tooth something to eat really slowly.

The next chocolate bar on my list seemed to be the famous Toffee Crisp

As you can see it is once again in a bright Orange Wrapper, it seems to be a popular colour here.

This bar is as scrummy as ever.  At the top is a layer of toffee underneath is a subtle melt in your mouth mixture of ricies and some chocolate that melt in your mouth it is then wrapped in milk chocolate, as Nestle say it is a crispy crunch with a chewy munch.  Not as sweet as the Double Decker making it a nice choice.  Just wish it was not all gone in moments.
